Worthless Chapter 10 The Sea Is Wild Now it was back to Onrac to buy some spells. They had barely enough money to get what they needed, but they had the money nontheless. Then they went to the girl with the submarine. They put the Oxyale in a tank. The submarine was powered, and they started descending into the water. They saw many beautiful fish on the way down. However, these included the poisonous Lobsters and the fierce Great White Sharks, gleaming teeth bared, ramming the windows trying to get at the noble crusaders. The mages started dreading having embarked on their mission, and doubted their strength. Red, however, feared none of it and managed to convince his comrades that everything would be all right because they were the Light Warriors, after all. The warriors walked out of the sub, breathing and talking fine. Apparently while they were on the sub they took in enough Oxyale that they could act just as normally underwater as above it. They soon found themselves fighting Lobsters and Sea Trolls, Wizard Sahags and Great White Sharks. With the Zeus Gauntlet they found in the Castle of Ordeals, they could cast Lit2. This helped quite a bit, the warriors found. A shot of actual Lit2 finished the job, most of the time. They found tons of treasure that had sunk with the shrine, the Opal equipment among it. The Opal Breastplate and Helmet were given to Red, since he was the only person capable; they also found the Opal Bracelet, which Silk gladly equipped. Burn thought it looked great with her Ribbon. They also found another Ribbon, which they gave to Maim, and a Slab, which had a very important purpose that was yet unknown. They found the Mermaids that had sunk as well. They discovered that if Kraken was not killed soon, the mermaids would all die. Red, who remained womanless, resolved that "they would save them by defeating the menacing squid." They also learned that a mermaid had grown legs and gone to the surface, warning the men and women of Onrac. Soon they found "the menacing squid", who was quite mad at them for making it through. The Warriors, however, feared not, and for good reason. Kraken repeatedly cast Dark, which had little if any effect. Silk cast Alit to protect against Kraken's electrical attacks. Maim cast Lit3 while Red attacked, boosted by Burn's Fast spell. Burn then joined Maim with Lit3. With little effort, Kraken was toast. Thus was the third Orb lit, and the final Orb silently clamored to be lit itself.
